Within each lining set you will receive 2 x 2.1m legs and 1 x 1.05m head which comes complete with loose stop lats so that you can set your own rebate depth. The door linings are a generous 20mm thick. Stop lats come in a 14 x 32mm section and are supplied loose so that you can install the door lining to suit any thickness door. The linings are a universal fit, so that you can fit them to any size door opening up to 2.1m high x 1.05m wide
The oak door linings are available in the following widths: –
108mm – Normally used for stud wall using 75mm studwork + plasterboard/plaster
132mm – Normally used for stud wall using 100mm studwork + plasterboard/plaster
150mm – Normally used single course brick walls, with plasterwork
The linings are solid oak and so they can be trimmed to whatever thickness you require. If you require thicker door linings then we can often help by using some of our wider PSE boards supplied together with stop lats.
We manufactured these linings in house from a high grade of solid oak. Each lining will come packaged with complete installation instructions.
The Oak door lining kits are manufactured using French Oak, from the same Southern Normandy, Loire Valley and Bourgogne areas of France. The frames are made from using a select rustic oak which is ideal for period properties but reduces the size and number of knots in the lining to create a more subtle look.
Standard and Custom Sizes
The oak door lining kits are available in the following sizes: -
108mm wide x 22mm thick
132mm wide x 22mm thick
150mm wide x 22mm thick
Within each kit you will receive 2 x 2.1m legs and 1 x 1.05m head which comes complete with loose stop lats so that you can set your own rebate depth. The stop lats are supplied at 14 x 32mm.
All door linings are supplied unfinished. They are machined to a smooth surface finish and supplied bare ready for you to prefinish on site.
When oak is machined you can sometimes get slight lifting of the grain in small areas, particlarly where the grain varies such as around knots. This can be easily sanded smooth prior to applying a finish and is normal for this timber.
Doors lining kits are carefully packaged before being shipped with a national courier. For smaller orders, each items is well wrapped and shipped individually. Larger orders, typically 15+ frames, will usually be shipped on a pallet.
