Solid boards sold in generous 3.2m lengths (approx. 10’6″ for those who prefer imperial measurements). We offer these boards in a 115mm (ex 5″ timber). The three most popular designs are all available, chamfer, bullnose (or sometimes called pencil round) and torus. Each board is double moulded with a profile on each side, you can put your preferred profile to the front.
Unlike many other suppliers we do not simply mould the boards and leave them in the full length. Each board is trimmed to 3.2m and is finished at 20mm thick. This means we can cut out any end split that many raw material boards come with. This means you can use the full 3.2m length which reduces wastage.

Chamfer is our most popular skirting profile and is considered our ‘default’ or ‘standard’. As our skirting boards are double sided, you will always find a side with a chamfer. The other side with either be Bullnose or Torus. Bullnose is the perfect profile for those looking for a more modern look – it is very simplistic yet stylish. Torus is quite the opposite and is classed as the most traditional style of skirting board. The decorative profiling makes it perfect for older homes and cottages.
The skirting is rustic and therefore will contain knots, minor shakes and other natural features. We manufacture these skirting boards at our Sheffield factory. We take a rustic grade Swedish pine and machine it to a selected quality finish. Unlike many other supplier we do not simply mould the boards and leave them in the full length. Skirting is made from a selected grade of white oak. Most of the board will be clear with the occasional knot to highlight the solid oak nature of the architrave. On occasion we may also fingerjoint lengths where it is not possible to buy the correct length raw material. This does not affect the strength of the oak and helps us to maintain the best possible prices.
Skirting is double moulded so that you can put your preferred side to the front.
Oak skirting is supplied machined to a smooth surface finish and supplied bare ready for you to prefinish on site. When oak is machined you can sometimes get slight lifting of the grain in small areas, particlarly where the grain varies such as around knots. This can be easily sanded smooth prior to applying a finish and is normal for this timber.
