Skirting samples are a great way to help you make up your mind about whether that product works for you.
At Heritage we want you to be happy with the products before you order them, particularly as many of the lines are custom-made. Finishes, in particular, are useful to see in person, as they can look slightly different from the internet or brochures images.
Our sample service helps you to choose what is going to work for you. We currently charge £7.50 for samples, however, if you like your sample and wish to move on to a product order, there will be a special code within your sample pack which will discount the order by £7.50.
Solid white oak skirting boards sold in generous 3.2m lengths (approx. 10’6″ for those who prefer imperial measurements). We offer these boards in a choice of 2 heights 115mm (ex 5″ timber) and 142mm (ex 6″ timber).
Unlike many other suppliers we do not simply mould the boards and leave them in the full length. Each board is trimmed to 3.2m and is finished at 20mm thick. This means we can cut out any end split that many raw material boards come with. This means you can use the full 3.2m length which reduces wastage.
We offer our solid oak skirting in a choice of 2 heights, 115mm and 142mm.
We take rustic grade US white oak and machine the boards through one of industrial moulder so you get a good quality finish. On occasion we may also finger joint lengths where it has not been possible to buy the correct length raw material. This does not affect the strength of the oak and helps us maintain the best possible prices,.
Our pine skirting is 115mm in width and comes in 3.2m lengths.
The three most popular designs are all available, chamfer, bullnose (pencil round) and torus. Each board is double moulded with a profile on each side, you can put your preferred profile to the front.
Chamfer is our most popular skirting profile and is considered our ‘default’ or ‘standard’. As our skirting boards are double sided, you will always find a side with a chamfer. The other side with either be Bullnose or Torus. Bullnose is the perfect profile for those looking for a more modern look – it is very simplistic yet stylish. Torus is quite the opposite and is classed as the most traditional style of skirting board. The decorative profiling makes it perfect for older homes and cottages.
We charge a flat rate of £7.50 for a box of samples which can include any sample you would like. The full £7.50 is then refunded if you decide to go ahead with ordering the product of the sample provided. This can be done by placing your order over the phone where the £7.50 is discounted from the order, or ordering via the website where the sample amount will be refunded back to you.
