Description

This is our LPD Cottage External Door set.  We take LPD’s Cottage external oak door, and build that into a fully finished doorset, ready for you to quickly install.  The attractive Cottage door design is crafted from an Oak material and features a vertical grooved panel to the lower section and a glazed upper section with astragal bars to create a 4 panel door.

Using off the shelf doors allows for a more attractive price although custom sizing is a little more limited

We install all of the hardware needed to hang the door into a solid oak door frame. The door is fitted with 3 sturdy adjustable hinges and your choice of locking system and hardware.  The doorframe is custom made and supplied complete with weather stripping and a low profile aluminium storm threshold.

Doorset Sizing

• Your doorset can be made to any dimension within the parameters below.  Note this is the brickwork opening
  • Width – 822mm to 986mm
  • Height – 2057 – 2113
• Doorsets can be made to larger sizes by adding sidelights and toplights as required.  Please call for a quote

We can build the doorset to a wide range of custom brickwork opening sizes by a combination of trimming the door and manufacturing a different thickness frame to suit.  This will cover a wide range of dimensions, (see Doorset Sizing below).  If the doorset cannot be made to your specific size requirements then we can custom manufacture a door for you, please click here our other listings for this option.

LPD Cottage External Door: Manufacture

• LPD supplied door
• Hardwood core with a dowelled construction
• 1.2mm Oak veneer
• 8mm wide x 6mm deep grooves with a tapered flat bottom profile.
• Bevelled panel edges to create water run off and a suitable surface for prefinishing
• 4 light upper double glazed panel with clear glazing unit and surface mounted astragal bars
• 17mm oak lippings (please note that we may trim a maximum of 12mm from the lipping to achieve your required size)

Our external finishing is sourced from Teknos.  We follow a strict process that creates a superb exterior finish that will provide the best protection possible for your door as well as great aesthetics.

LPD Cottage External Door: Options

We current offer 4 different lock systems:

• Insurance approved 5 Lever Mortice Lock With your choice of lever on backplate handle
• ERA Insurance approved Nightlatch and seperate Deadlock fitted with Eurocylinder.  Key/Key as standard, please let us know if you prefer key/thumbturn
• Gretch Unitas Mid-Level Multipoint Lock, fitted with Lever Handle on backplate,  Euro cylinder lock fitted with 3 keys.  Timber specific lock, slam shut (no handle lift required), auto deadbolts
• Gretch Unitas High-Level Multipoint Lock With Finger Pull, Euro cylinder lock fitted with 3 keys.  Timber specific lock, slam shut (no handle lift required), auto deadbolts.  The look of a nightlatch style system but with the security of a multipoint lock

Your door will be supplied with Nico 3D Hinges which can be specified in black, chrome, satin chrome or polished gold/brass.  Nico hinges are independently adjustable in 3 planes using an innovative design which allows the hinge to remain fixed to the door throughout. Maintenance free and featuring low friction bearings for long life performance.
