Description
Staircases can be made up of straight flights or winding steps – our Winder Tread Pack is used for cladding the ‘Kite Shaped’ steps on your staircase. Most newer homes are fitted with softwood or MDF stairs, and the cost and mess involved in replacing them can be off putting. Therefore, Heritage Oak Stair Cladding offers you a simple cost-effective solution. By retaining your existing stairs, and bonding new oak treads and risers over the top, converting your staircase to solid oak becomes an easy weekend DIY job. Better yet, the cost of our oak stair cladding is usually a fraction that of a new oak staircase.
Winder Tread Pack Contents and Sizes
This winder tread pack is designed to clad a single winder step. Most winders come in sets of 3 and you will need 3 winder packs to clad a full set. The pack will clad any winder step up to 1200mm wide, 570mm deep, and up to 200mm high.
We designed the tread packs so you can cut any of the parts in the kit down to suit your individual step shape. This allows full flexibility with our packs and endless options to suit even the most unique stairs.
This pack contains:
- 4 piece tread, 14mm solid oak with T&G jointing. Two longer sections for the front, and two shorter for the rear of the tread
- Oak riser moulding
- Oak veneered riser board
You will need 1 winder tread pack per ‘kite shaped’ step you have on your flight. If you have 12 or 13 steps, our handy kit may be a better alternative! The pieces will just need to be cut to suit your specific measurements once received. The treads and mouldings are all solid oak, so trimming these will not be a problem!
Winder Tread Pack Manufacture
Our oak winder tread packs as part of our stair cladding range, are manufactured in our UK based factory. Treads and mouldings are machined from a prime grade oak sourced from France. This timber is solid oak and so can be cut down on site to the measurements you require.
