Description
Most newer homes are fitted with softwood or MDF stairs, and the cost and mess involved in replacing them can be off putting. Our Oak Extension Board is one of many products that are part of our Heritage Oak Stair Cladding Range
How does it work?
Heritage oak stair cladding offers you a simple cost-effective solution. By retaining your existing stairs, and bonding new oak treads and risers over the top, converting your staircase to solid oak becomes an easy weekend DIY job and better yet the cost is usually a fraction that of a new oak staircase.

Extension Board Size
We have designed The extension board to help clad a quarter space landing in conjunction with the straight tread pack. Quarter space landings are usually square and are the same depth as the staircase width, for example, a landing of 850mm wide/deep.
The standard straight tread pack is 284mm deep, with each extension board adding a further 142mm depth. So our 850mm deep landing would require 1 straight tread pack and 4 extension boards. The system will with stairs that have straight treads up to 1000mm wide. Have a look at case study 2, in the downloads tab for an example
