Radiator Shelf: An Introduction

Our Heritage solid oak radiator shelf add useful storage without taking up additional space, and help to deflect heat into the room where its needed. We manufacture our shelves in solid 20mm oak, with an attractive rounded and bullnosed edge. Each kit comes complete with everything you need to install it.  Furthermore, you can choose either unfinished oak for treatment on site. Alternatively, give our natural clear satin finish a go to maintain the oak’s beautiful character and charm.

Radiator Shelf Sizing

This radiator shelf is available in 5 popular lengths to suit most UK radiator sizes. These range from 600mm to 1800mm long. Each shelf is 150mm deep and a sturdy 20mm thick to give you a strong length of storage.

Choose between:

• 600mm (2 Brackets)
• 900mm (2 Brackets)
• 1200mm (3 Brackets)
• 1500mm (3 Brackets)
• 1800mm (4 Brackets)

Radiator Shelf Installation

Installation is very easy and quick. Simply use the screws provided to fit the brackets to the underside of the shelf, and drop into place. No need to drill your walls making this product super customer friendly. Check out our installation instructions to see how easy it is to install your shelf!

Our shelves are universal and can suit most radiators. Depending on the distance between your radiator and the wall, you may need to bend your brackets in the desired direction to ensure the shelf sits at the correct height above the radiator. The brackets are designed to do this and you will cause no damage by bending them.

Are radiator shelves a good idea?

Radiator shelves are perfect for cold or drafty rooms where it’s preferable to preserve heat. The shelf deflects the heat coming from the radiator into the room, and also serves as a decorative feature for any room in your house. The radiator topper serves as a useful and convenient storage facility.

How long should a radiator shelf be?

We recommend selecting the radiator that is closest to the length of your radiator, by rounding up instead of down. For example if your radiator is 1000mm, a 1200mm will be the perfect choice. Ideally, it is best to have an overhang on either side of the radiator to make the full use of the length, and also from an aesthetic point of view!

Delivery

For the 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm sized shelves, we will deliver via Parcelforce. You will receive regular updates one your item has been dispatched via email or text message. For the longer shelves, 1500mm and 1800mm, we use DX who specialise in larger items. When using DX, we will call you to arrange a delivery date that suits you. We’re happy to hold the goods for as long as you require if you’re not quite ready for them yet.
