Pine bifold doors are a great option for cottages and barn conversions where you plan to paint or varnish the doors.  We make the pine ledged doors to the same high quality standards as our oak ledged doors. We believe that they are by far the best quality pine ledge doors on the market.

You can attach the pine bifold doors directly to the wall, or use them on a sliding mechanism.

We manufacture this pine bifold door with a v groove or bead and butt vertical boards to match our pine ledged doors. V Grooved doors give a subtle and clean look which works particularly well in period cottages or barn conversions. Bead & Butt door are more decorative and traditional.

All of our pine doors are handmade in our factory in Sheffield. We a Vths grade of redwood (pine) sourced exclusively from northern Scandinavian mills to ensure we use slower grown pine for better stability.  We start with 90-115mm components to make our pine ledged doors depending on the timber available to us at the time of producing.

Construction

Every doors handmade and checked prior to despatch.  Ledges are glued, pinned and then hydraulically pressed on, just like on our oak doors.   We do not simply staple the doors together as you will see on most mass market pine ledged doors.  This process makes our door by far the strongest and most durable available in the UK. What defines a pine cottage door?

A ledged door is a door with 3 or more horizontal rails that are fixed to the door. Ours are glued and pinned onto the vertical boards for maximum stability. We offer ledged doors with 3, 4 or 5 ledges depending on your personal preference. Ledged doors are also known as battened doors or ledge and brace doors if you opt to have the diagonal bracing applied.

How do you make a pine ledged door?

We hand make every door and check the quality prior to despatch. Our specialist staff glue, pin and then hydraulically press the ledges on to ensure a proper fit. This process is unique to Heritage and makes our pine cottage door by far the strongest and most durable available in the UK.

Pine Bifold Door – Delivery

Our sales team will contact you as soon as your order is ready to arrange a delivery date that is most suitable with yourself. We use DX Delivery to deliver all of our large items and door products, or The Pallet Network for larger orders with multiple doors.

Our transit time is 1-2 working days and each product is sufficiently packaged by our efficient warehouse team.

We ask that all deliveries are checked for damage, missing items or any problems within 24 hours of receipt. This will ensure our team can deal with the problem as quick and effectively as possible.
