Patterdale glazed oak doors are the latest oak ledged door in our collection.  They are ideal for period properties where you want to add more light or be able to see between rooms.  Handmade in the UK with fabulous aged and soldered leaded glass, these doors bring charm and real quality into your home.

Glazed Oak Doors: Glass

We fit each door with a decorative glass panel handmade in the UK.  Each panel is assembled using real lead strips, which are hand applied then soldered and aged for a fabulous tactile finish.  The centre section of each panel features a sandblasted section to give some visual barrier whilst still allowing light to flood through. These doors are also known as glazed and planked oak internal doors.

Our production professionals fix the glass securely into your new door with security tape and oak glass beading.  Depending on the width of the door you choose we will fit the appropriate width panel.  All of the panels are 510mm high and manufactured using toughened safety glass.

Glazed Oak Doors: Sizes

Heritage can manufacture and supply your new Patterdale glazed oak ledged doors in a range of sizes.  Simply pick the size you need from the drop-down box, or if you need a custom size, choose the appropriate option then let us know the exact measurements.  Your new door is available with either Bead & Butt or V Grooved profile boards. You can choose which you prefer from the drop-down boxes when ordering.

Glazed Oak Doors: Grades

The grades available are Rustic, Select Rustic and Prime Grade. Each one is dependent on knots and character. Prime is our highest quality grade, with minimal thumb-size knots. The rustic grade is our most cost-effective door. It is perfect for older properties that want to reflect more traditional and hand made doors. Select rustic is a good ‘in-between’ option! Glazed Oak Doors: Timber

All of our doors are handmade in our factory in Sheffield using predominantly French oak.  Heritage deal direct with sawmills in Southern Normandy, Loire Valley and Bourgogne areas of France to ensure we get beautiful quality oak at good prices.  We ensure that all of our oak is correctly seasoned and kiln-dried for use inside the home.

Glazed Oak Doors: Manufacture

We hand make every door and check the quality prior to despatch. Our specialist staff glue, pin and then hydraulically press the ledges on to ensure a proper fit. This process is unique to Heritage and makes our door by far the strongest and most durable available in the UK. Oak hardwood doors are definitely the way to go for a traditional, warm feel to any property.

Glazed Oak Doors – Delivery

Our sales team will contact you as soon as your order is ready to arrange a delivery date that is most suitable with yourself. We use DX Delivery to deliver all of our large items and door products, or The Pallet Network for larger orders with multiple doors.

Our transit time is 1-2 working days and each product is sufficiently packaged by our efficient warehouse team.

We ask that all deliveries are checked for damage, missing items or any problems within 24 hours of receipt. This will ensure our team can deal with the problem as quick and effectively as possible.
