Clear Glazed Ledged Doors are the latest oak ledged door in our collection.  They are ideal for period properties where you want to add more light or be able to see between rooms.  Handmade in the UK with fabulous aged and soldered leaded glass these doors bring charm and real quality into your home. Here at Heritage, we believe solid hardwood doors look stunning in any home. With our glazed options, they also help to make rooms look more open and light. These doors are also commonly knock as glazed and planked internal doors.

Glazed Ledged Door Glass

We fit each door with a clear glass panel handmade in the UK. This is 4mm thick and is safety toughened.

The glass is securely fixed into your new door with security tape and oak glass beading.  Depending on the width of the door you choose we will fit the appropriate width panel.  All of the panels are 510mm high and manufactured using toughened safety glass.

Glazed Ledged Door Manufacturing

We hand make every door and check the quality prior to despatch. Our specialist staff glue, pin and then hydraulically press the ledges on to ensure a proper fit. This process is unique to Heritage. This technique makes our door by far the strongest and most durable available in the UK. Oak glazed internal doors mean you receive a strong, sturdy door with the added bonus of allowing light between rooms.

Glazed Ledged Door Timber

All of our glazed oak ledged doors are handmade in our factory in Sheffield using predominantly French oak.  Heritage deal direct with sawmills in Southern Normandy, Loire Valley, and Bourgogne areas of France to ensure we get beautiful quality oak at good prices.  We ensure that all of our oak is correctly seasoned and kiln-dried for use inside the home.

Heritage can manufacture your new clear glazed oak ledged doors in a range of sizes.  Simply pick the size you need from the drop-down box, or if you need a custom size, choose the appropriate option then let us know the exact measurements.

Glazed Ledged Door Grades

We offer this door in 3 grades – Rustic, Select Rustic or Prime.

The grades available are Rustic, Select Rustic and Prime Grade. Each one is dependent on knots and character. Prime is our highest quality grade, with minimal thumb-size knots. The rustic grade is our most cost-effective door. It is perfect for older properties that want to reflect more traditional and hand made doors. Select rustic is a good ‘in-between’ option! The specification is available to view under ‘Timber Grades’ which will take you through what is allowed in each grade

Glazed Ledged Door Profile

Your new door is available with either Bead & Butt or V Grooved profile boards.  You can choose which you prefer from the drop-down boxes when ordering.

Glazed Ledged Door Finishing

We can also prefinish your oak door for you in a range of stunning options.  Have a look at the Finishing tab for more details as well as the pictures in the drop-down selection boxes above. Prefinished oak doors mean you can hang your door as soon as you receive it, cutting out the time and hassle needed to finish your door on site.

Glazed Ledged Door Delivery

Our sales team will contact you as soon as your order is ready to arrange a delivery date that is most suitable with yourself. We use DX Delivery to deliver all of our large items and door products, or The Pallet Network for larger orders with multiple doors.

Our transit time is 1-2 working days and each product is sufficiently packaged by our efficient warehouse team.

We ask that all deliveries are checked for damage, missing items or any problems within 24 hours of receipt. This will ensure our team can deal with the problem as quick and effectively as possible.
