Angled internal doors are hugely popular choices for contemporary homes. Until now custom sizes have been a real problem, taking up to 16 weeks to arrive from the Far East. We take carefully made 35mm components and CNC machine them into angled internal doors. Heritage is the only company in the UK manufacturing custom-sized angled internal doors.
Until now all angled internal doors have been manufactured in the far east and therefore if you needed a custom size then these had to be ordered specially. They take a minimum of 14-16 weeks to arrive, and regularly much longer. We regularly hear of these orders then arriving with issues, with any replacement another 16 weeks away!
Heritage has built a CNC production facility in Sheffield especially to manufacture popular door styles in custom sizes in the UK. This means that we can offer these doors in significantly less time, and you know you are dealing directly with a UK manufacturer. We do not buy standard doors and modify them. Every door is made from scratch.
We aim to keep our service offer simple yet effective, therefore these doors are offered at 1 size bracket and price. This way you do not have to wait for a quote, simply order your door in the correct bracket then let us know the size you need. Any size up to 950mm wide by 2160mm high
Angled internal doors ordered from the far east are broadly similar to the prices we charge but take 16 weeks. Sizes are often lost in translation and shipping damage is common. These doors turn up wrong so regularly that many door companies refuse to even sell them. Buying your custom doors from Heritage means that you get them quickly and you are using a UK company so any issues that do occur such as shipping damage can be resolved.

This door is offered in a prime grade oak veneer. An ideal door for modern and contemporary properties. The core is made from a particleboard with MDF faces to add stability. Over this is added a prime oak veneer. The doors are lipped/edged with 20mm solid oak, and the grooves have solid oak inserts so that only oak is visible.
Our Mexicano angled doors come in three separate size brackets to give you a wide range of options to choose from and a more accurate price to suit all sizes of doors.
Choose from:
Any size up to 750 x 950mm
Any size up to 950 x 1100mm
Any size up to 950 x 2150mm
Please enter your size in the 'notes' box at checkout. The door must fit within both dimensions for the bracket.
When specifying your door, remember that a door with a fully angled top will need some additional work during installation to slightly relieve the top edge to create clearance as the door hinges. This will not show through to the front face and will differ slightly depending on door angle, hinge style and gap to the lining.
If you wish to avoid this work then either hinge the door on the short side, or specify a door with a minimum 50mm flat section to the top of the door
Choose to receive your door either unfinished or opt for our pre-finishing service. You can select from clear, light, medium or dark oak.
We will spray your door with 2 coats of a super tough matt clear finish, with your door carefully sanded between coats. Each coat will be infrared cured in a drying tunnel. The result is a superb finish that is much better than can be achieved by brush finish and will more closely match other prefinished doors you may already have.
You can also buy these doors unfinished. They can be treated with either water or solvent based finishes but care should always be taken to not saturate the door when applying the first coat of any finish.
This can cause the veneer to lift as the saturated veneer swells and breaks the glue bond, forming a ‘bubble’ in the veneer. Should this happen, its best to first leave the door to dry out for 2-3 weeks as the bubble will usually disappear as the veneer dries and shrinks back.
If bubbles remain the situation can be resolved by puncturing the bubble, squeezing a small amount of PVA glue into the cavity and with the door lying flat, leave a weighted block on the bubble over a plastic sheet so the block doesn’t stick. This will flatten back the bubble which can then be sanded and refinished once the glue has set.
