Treatex oil penetrates deep into the wood and enhances its natural beauty. They are manufactured on a base of natural sustainable raw materials and then completed with natural pigments used to colour the oils.

Treatex Hardwax Oil – Tin Sizes

This product can be used on most species of timber. Primary uses are doors, floors, skirting and worktops.

1 Litre – will cover approximately 20m2 / 4 doors in 1 coat

2.5 Litre – will cover approximately 50m2 / 10 doors in 1 coat

We recommend using 2 coats when using this product.

We also offer Treatex Colour Tones if you are wanting to add more colour to your timber

Hardwax Oil: Available Sheen Levels

• Gloss
• Satin
• Matt

Treatex Hardwax oil is available in a clear Matt finish, a Clear Satin Finish or a Clear Gloss Finish. This is a clear finish but will have a slight warming effect on the tones of your oak doors or floors. On our display doors we will typically use the satin finish as it gives a great looking clear coat without too much gloss. The finish can be easily hand applied with a rag and dries quickly to a hard wearing and natural looking finish.

Please Note

We recommend ordering a colour sample to choose between shades as colours can appear differently between computer and tablet screens. It can also look different across different timbers, we recommend applying the oil on a small offcut of the timber before using it on the end product.

Hardwax Oil: How to Use

1. Sand the surface to smooth bare wood using sandpaper (80-120 grit)
2. Apply thin coat using a roller
3. First coat will be dry on 3-6 hours with good ventilation
4. Apple second coat with roller
5. Leave to dry for 8 hours

Delivery

We use Treatex’s drop shipping service to deliver these item. The tins are dispatched on a 48 hour service using Parcelforce. Orders are shipped on the same day if ordered before 12pm.
