Description

This is a superb heavy quality hand-forged black door knocker. The knockers are hand forged for us in very heavy steel and finished in a beautiful antique finish. They are then being coated in beeswax to bring out the beauty of the forging. We designed the knockers to complement our solid oak external doors but they work equally well with other period style doors.

Door Knocker Design

The black door knockers are hand made, to a very high quality and look superb when installed. Each set consists of a ring knocker with mounting plate, round plate and matching screws. The knocker is made in a heavy ring style with a beautiful beaten diamond shape mounting plate.

Also supplied is a large round pin to give something for the knocker to work on without damaging the door. The pin is approximately 1.5″/40mm round and has an approx 35mm spike to the rear to use to fix to the door. The knocker ring is around 4 1/4″/115mm round with a diamond mounting plate approx 85mm square (please note sizes vary by a few mm as these knockers are individually hand forged so each is subtly different).
