Choosing Your External Door Lock System

Interested in our external doors? You may have noticed on each door listing, we have an external door lock hardware drop down. This is a quick guide to help you decide which lock and handle is best for you.

1. Fitted Hinges

If this option is selected, we will fit our Adjustable 3D Hinges to your door, so your joiner doesn’t have to! We will fit 3 hinges to a standard door, or 4 hinges for a stable door (2 per leaf). We offer these hinges in:

• Black
• Polished Chrome
• Polished Brass
• Satin Chrome

All you have to do is let us know if you’d like them hinged on the left or the right (if you’re looking at the door from outside the property). All of our door sets open in.

2. External Door Lock Options

a) 5 Lever Lock (Standard Door Only, Not Available With Stable Doors)

The 5 Lever Lock is our entry level lock, and gives a basic level of security. Check out the spec drawing for all dimensions.

“5 Lever BS Sashlock 76mm – The Latchbolt has the Easi-T reverse function to save undoing the case so it can be reversed in seconds. British Standard BS3621 Rated Sashlock used as a matter of course by the national house builders. This lock provides a high degree of security and carries a 25 year mechanical guarantee. It has been CE and Certifire tested. Available in PVD or SSS Finish. Suitable for use in all domestic, industrial and commercial environments.”

b) Night Latch & Deadlock (Standard Doors and Stable Doors)

With this option you will receive 2 locks for high security! On the top half, we have a fitted nightlatch:

• This option conforms to BS 3621:2007 – Meets requirements of insurance companies and police.
• High security integral cylinder pull protects the cylinder from being drilled.
• Supplied with 3 cut keys

c) Mid-Level Lock (Standard Door Only, Not Available With Stable Doors)

A modern twin dead bolt door lock that can be fitted with an internal lever handle for a swift exit.

• 45mm backset
• 20mm faceplate
• Tested and achieved PAS24
• Simple ¾ turn of cylinder to fully dead lock door opposed to key winding 720 degrees
• 1020 Handle height

d) High-Level Lock (Standard Door Only, Not Available With Stable Doors)

• Fully adjustable keeps, Centred for 54mm doors
• Simple 3/4 turn of cylinder to fully dead lock door opposed to key winding 720 degrees
• 45mm backset
• 20mm Faceplate
