Your Free Guide to Internal Engineered Doors 2023!
Most homes across the UK will most likely have Engineered Doors and can be supplied by numerous different stores and have traditionally been manufactured in the Far East, which is fine for standard sized doors but what happens when you need a custom sized door and the door you have can’t be trimmed down. They can be ordered
from the Far East but the problem is you could be waiting a bare minimum of 16 weeks for the door to arrive, but this is where we come in.
We at Heritage have a unique service where we can manufacture these doors here in the UK. We can now create a bespoke engineered door, manufactured to your specifications in just a few weeks. These turn around times are only possible due to our investment in the latest CNC machining technology. Prices are fixed based around size brackets so you can order you engineered door online without having to wait for a quote.
What Styles and Finishes can we do?
There are many different door styles we can make and in a range of finishes, we can do popular doors styles like the Mexicano, Shaker, 4 Panel and Coventry and we can tweak the door design to match other doors you may already have in your property but are unable to get the custom one to match from your normal supplier.
Our engineered doors are available in a number of different finishes. All of our finishes are done using our state of the art spray facility and are finished to the highest standard. The engineered doors can be finished in a Clear, Medium Oak or Dark Oak finish or if you would prefer we do have an option to have your doors painted in either white or if you give us a RAL number we can colour match to suit other doors in your home.
What are our Engineered Doors made from?
We have tried and tested a number of different ways to make our engineered doors to make sure they were going to be strong and stable doors and have the below methods.
Mexicano, 5 Panel, 7 Panel, Flush Doors & Mistral
- 35mm Thick
- White oak prime veneer
- High densisty particleboard with MDF faces under the oak veneer. This makes for a high quality door that is heavy and resistant to bowing
- No hardwood core is visible in the grooves, only oak
- 20mm Oak Lippings on top and sides
Pattern 10, Worcester, 2XG, 2XGG, 4 Panel & Coventry
- 35mm Thick
- Separate Stiles and Rails
- Twin 12mm Dowels to each joint for Strength
- White Oak Prime Veneer
- Hardwood Core
- If door is glazed – it is fitted with 4mm Toughened Glass
- Panels – 6mm MDF Flat panel, 20mm Raised & Fielded Panel
Hardware you can order with your door
In order to help save some time when you are fitting your engineered doors, whether you are doing it yourself or have hired a joiner to do it for you, we can prefit the ironmongery of your choice to the door. We have a number of different styles to choose from and if you don’t see one you like just let us know and we can check with Carlisle Brass (our supplier) whether this is something we are able to supply.
All you need to do is choose your hardware option from the drop down menu, if it is for a bathroom door we can supply and fit the privacy lock for you and then just let us know which orientation you would like and leave the rest to us. The handle will be shipped loose for safety in transit and as standard the latch will be fitted 990mm from the bottom of the door but please do let us know if you would like a bespoke measurement.
