These excellent quality oak baserails are supplied in a 41mm groove format. They can be used with 41mm balusters and each rail is supplied complete with sufficient fillet strip to complete an installation using balusters. Furthermore, we manufacture this baserail using prime grade American white oak.
We manufacture these rails in our Sheffield Factory from a good quality grade of white oak. The baserails measure 22mm high by 60mm wide. Moreover, oak baserails are available in 3 x different lengths for you to choose from – 2.4m, 3.6m & 4.2m and we have matching handrails to complete your installation.
You can also choose to have your baserail supplied in a natural unfinished form ready for you to finish. Alternatively, or we can finish the handrail for you in a traditional clear coat.

We manufacture these baserails in house. We utilise a good quality grade of oak to give you an excellent handrail. Many parts of the rail we be clear with the occasional knot.To utilise oak efficiently and to ensure that we keep prices as keen as possible our specification allows fingerjoints. This is an industry standard with oak baserails as it is very hard to find oak in the long lengths needed otherwise.Oak baserails measure 22mm high by 60mm wide. Oak baserail is supplied machined to a smooth surface finish and supplied bare ready for you to prefinish on site.When oak is machined you can sometimes get slight lifting of the grain in small areas, particlarly where the grain varies such as around knots. This can be easily sanded smooth prior to applying a finish and is normal for this timber.We can prefinish your oak baserail in a traditional finish if you require or you can purchase the baserail natural/unfinished.
