Description
Why would I need a lock block?
In addition, a pine lock block can be used in connection with a handle or a suffolk latch (these can be found in the hardware section of the website). Some may find that the lock block is needed to prevent cutting into existing architrave or door frame as much.
What size is available in?
All lock blocks which are manufactured in the pine timber are supplied at 250 x 115 x 20mm
What timber is the lock block made from?
A Pine lock block is manufactured from the exact same timber as the internal pine doors. The timber used is Scandinavian pine.
The pine lock blocks, also known as latch blocks are manufactured on site in Sheffield. The main purpose of these items are to sit the suffolk latch onto them during the installation of your internal ledged doors.
The lock blocks work with the suffolk latches or the handles which are available on the hardware page.
The pine lock block is supplied loose so they can be installed on site. You can then choose the way you prefer the lock block to. You can install these by gluing/pinning or both, onto the ledged door.
Installation instructions are available to download from this page.
