The universal fit oak door frames are made using generous section sizes of a prime grade of oak and are a perfect way to install a good quality solid oak door. The timber will be mostly clear with the occasional knot and when sealed will provide a fabulous quality long lasting door frame.
All you will need to finish your door frame is frame fixings suited to your wall construction and also a threshold seal of your choice such as a Stormguard. The door frames are supplied unfinished so you can pre finish to your desired colour on site and come complete with a sealing strip to fit into the loose stop lats.
The single door frame will suit all external doors up to 2060mm high x 960mm wide x 50mm deep. The frame can adjust to any dimension up to these, including door thickness.
The frames are made using a high grade of oak. The timber will be mostly clear with the occasional knot which serves to highlight the solid oak nature of your new door frame.
It is not always possible to buy oak in the fixed lengths that we supply the door linings in. To get around this we will often start with lengths of oak at around 1.0 - 1.5 metres long, and fingerjoint these together to get the correct overall length needed.
