This is a universal fit oak door frame designed to suit much wider, or double doors. The frame will fit any door or door pair up to 2060mm high x 2000mm wide x 50mm deep. Note this is the door size, not the opening size.
We make the frames in the UK using generous section sizes of a prime grade of oak. They are a perfect way to install a good quality solid oak door. The timber will be mostly clear with the occasional knot and when sealed will provide a fabulous quality long lasting door frame.
All you will need to finish your door frame is frame fixings suited to your wall construction and also a threshold seal of your choice such as a Stormguard. The door frames are supplied unfinished so you can pre finish to your desired colour on site and come complete with a sealing strip to fit into the loose stop lats.
The frames are made using a high grade of oak. The timber will be mostly clear with the occasional knot which serves to highlight the solid oak nature of your new door frame.Sills and the frame sections are made using 2 piece laminated oak. Laminated oak is much stronger and helps to keep the frame straight in the harsh external environment. We laminate all of our oak in house so that we can control the quality of the process
