Description

FD30 custom oak fire doors are designed to create a visually pleasing version of our solid oak ledged and braced doors but as a fire door.  These doors are available in standard and custom sizes and shapes on short lead times.

Design

The door is manufactured using a 44mm fire door core with a custom cut oak veneer applied to the surface and routed out to simulate a V Groove tongue and grooved door.  The grooves feature a contrasting timber which can be left as a feature or stained to match the oak veneer.  You can choose from either rustic or prime oak veneers to match to your solid oak ledged doors.

The door is lipped with a 10mm oak style hardwood which allows for 4mm per edge on site trimming to fit (total 8mm in height and 8mm in width).  Where this will not work we can manufacture a custom size or shape FD30 door normally within a few weeks at our Sheffield factory.  Custom size doors can be manufactured in any size up to a maximum of 2150 x 930 for a fixed price.

Custom Oak Fire Doors: Fire Rating

The door is supplied with FD30 certification with the core tested by Warrington Fire to BS476: part 22: 1987.  All Heritage FD30 fire doors are manufactured to the appropriate Field of Application specifications and a copy of this can be supplied on request or can be downloaded using this link.  Heritage fire doors are labelled with permanent FD30 labels which should not be removed.

The fire door is supplied with installation instructions and the door must be installed in accordance with these in order to maintain its FD30 rating.  If you prefer please enquire about our FD30 ledged doorsets which are supplied complete with frame, hinges and lock to the appropriate standards.
