Oak Engineered Flooring 189x20 CD Grade-Rustic

This is our unfinished rustic engineered flooring in a single plank 189mm width and a 20mm thickness.  This is ideal for laying direct to joists and is a superb quality product which we can offer keen prices as we buy direct from the Far East in container loads.  We sell all our flooring by the m2 to make it easy for you to get the quantity you need.

We developed this board to mimic as closely as possible the solid rustic oak flooring that we manufacture in house, for those customers looking for the character of an old oak floor but with the additional stabilty of a modern engineered construction.  The grade is specially selected and will include a mixture of boards with few knots as well as some boards with larger knots and cracks, exactly as you would find in a real oak board.  Any cracks that would penetrate down to the core are given a "semi fill" which helps maintain the look of a solid oak flooring.

The board is a 20mm thickness, designed for installation direct to joists (use our 15mm thickness flooring for laying over an existing floor). It features a soild oak 4mm wear layer which gives great durabilty.  Most boards are supplied in an 1860mm length with 25% supplied at a shorter length to allow you to stagger the joints in the board to create a natural looking installtion.  The core is a strong cross laminated construction of poplar ply.  Each board is tongue and grooved to all 4 sides and has a very slight microbevel to enhance the look of the floor.

The flooring is supplied unfinished as we find most customers wish to match to other elements of the project.  We can supply Osmo stains and oils to finish the flooring.  These are easily applied by either cloth or microfibre roller, please see the installation PDF for colour swatches.  We can also hand finish your flooring for you before we despatch it, please call for more information and prices.
